is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, in Courtland, AL.
Job Description:
-Candidate should be able to develop and implement Manufacturing Work instructions Plans (MWIs's) for a variety of cables and harnesses.
-Engineering change implementation and coordinating changes in the build process within cable and harness facility.
-Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes.
-Drives adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
-Leverages understanding of materials and processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
-Evaluates performance of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency.
-Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
-Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
-Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
-Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
-Providing shop floor support-Foster customer relations, building rapport and confidence between Prod Ops, Program and Customer.
-Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
-Contact with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other personnel in the section or group.
-Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD).
-Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, bills of material, schematics and specs.
-Ability to read and interpret schedules.
Basic Qualifications-Experience in a Manufacturing environment-Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)-Knowledge of electro-mechanical, cable and harness, or industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Change control, configuration management, process definition/management and data analysis.
Education-Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline from an accredited college.
Entry level.
